Happy Purim!

This weekend is going to be chilli with the mixing of traditional pipe and rock from the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. The week’s other events include boys basketball, country artist Gary Allan, pancakes, acrobats and the Reign of Terror.

🥞 Ames Kiwanis Clubs’ Pancake Days Fundraiser
4:30 to 7 p.m. Friday; 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday | First United Methodist Church
All the pancakes you can eat, plus scrambled eggs, sausage, juice, milk or coffee. Tickets are available from any Kiwanis member or at the door. All proceeds benefit local youth projects.

🎭 The Revolutionists

A "brutal comedic quartet" about four real women who lived during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror. This ISU Theatre production explores themes of sisterhood, legacy and how we tell our stories in times of chaos.

Karen Kedrowski, director of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics and co-director for the Center for Cyclone Civics, explores the often-overlooked roles of women in the early republic. This lecture highlights their contributions to the political and social foundations of the U.S.

Hear about OLLI at Iowa State’s course offerings for the spring directly from the instructors. You do not need to be an OLLI at Iowa State member, nor do you need to pre-register to attend the Course Preview. Online registration will open on Friday.
