Happy Thursday!

It was great to see so many of you at our launch party last week. Thank you for coming out and showing your support for this local community-driven newsroom.

Since then, we also put out an election edition of the newsletter that you should definitely check out if you haven't voted yet — five more days to Election Day.

In today's newsletter, we have photos from Iowa State's weeklong homecoming celebration, everything you need to know about possible pet licenses for Ames residents and the Mary Greeley Medical Center trustees voting to close the Israel Family Hospice House.
